Music fundamentals, one skill at a time, for beginning students.
Every beginner needs the same foundation: reading notes, counting rhythm, hearing pitch. Music Ace teaches it patiently, one skill at a time, so you can devote more of your time to teaching music.

All Music Students

Your students should be making music, not overwhelmed by the basics.
Lesson time is precious. Spend your time shaping sound, expressing emotion, and playing beautifully, not tapping eighth notes, telling F from F♯, or hunting for the note that's out of tune.
We teach the basics. You make the musicians.

Students enjoy the games
Each lesson is paired with a game that provides the repetition mastery requires, in a form students choose to return to.
Progress you can see
Lessons and games grade themselves, so you can keep track of each student's progress.
Standards-aligned
Supports the National Core Music Standards, the framework behind most state music standards, including California, New York, and Illinois.

Each lesson is paired with a game on the same material. The Doodle Pad is a creative workspace where students can change existing compositions or write their own.

Learn the concept
Maestro Max asks the student to interact with the music in a specific way. As the concepts he is teaching emerge through interaction, animation, and sound, they become intuitive.
And he is infinitely patient. If a student has difficulty at the start, no problem: they can keep working on it. Sometimes the rhythm slows down, or the difficulty eases for a while. When the light bulb finally turns on, the student moves ahead quickly.

Practice, Practice, Practice!
Understanding a concept is not enough. Fluency is required, and the difference between understanding and fluency is practice. As a music teacher, you know that the best way to internalize a skill is to repeat it many times. That is what the games are for.
Games motivate repetition. Skills become automatic.
Each game focuses on a single skill. A rhythm game, for example, does not distract with note reading or pitch perception — or how the bow is held — and the student learns that skill faster and stronger.

Get Creative!
A composition workspace in which students apply what the lessons taught, from a blank page or from a classical excerpt.
Its notation bridges a traditional staff and a piano roll, making the contour of a melody visible.
